Airlines are always scrambling to gain the next leg up. Leading airlines have taken to high fashion to stand out from the competition. British Airlines and Virgin Atlantic have partnered with cutting edge designers to create uniforms that are sleek and stylish. Though more people are jumping in the pool; the trend of flying high in style is far from new.
SKYMARK’S MICRO MINI DRESSES
Skymark’s uniforms evoke images of the go go dresses of the 1960’s with a modern take. The reception to the uniforms have been received well by some people, however micro-mini length has received criticism from the crew as they aren’t totally practical when you’re moving carts around and helping passengers with their luggage.
QUANTAS AIRLINES FASHIONABLE YET IMPRACTICAL
These uniforms have received praise from the high fashion scene. Unfortunately some crew members feel like these uniforms are better off kept on the runway.

SINGAPORE’S SILKAIR’S CREW SPORTING NEW UNIFORMS
Singapore is known to cater to rich fashionistas. It’s know surprise that the country’s main airline is attentive to the outfits of their crew. The asymmetrical neckline paired with pencil skirts and the detail on the shoulder gives Silkair a clean, modern look. It doesn’t hurt that the crew is absolutely gorgeous.
EMIRATES AIRLINES UNIFORMS ARE FASHIONABLE YET CLASSY
Emirates has long been known for bringing luxury to wealthy, discerning customers. To respect the cultural traditions of some passengers, these uniforms are long and cover the heads of female attendants. The red highlight in the pleats of the skirt are a subtle touch.

Vueling Airlines of Barcelona is stylish in every way. From the uniforms to their in flight magazine, this airline knows how to visually delight their customers.Here’s the crew in action! The uniforms feature the signature yellow of Vueling, adding just the right amount of color.
AIR FRANCE UNIFORMS BY CHRISTIAN LACROIX
Paris is fashion. As such, Air France has always had the most stylish uniforms created by top designers. The current uniform was unveiled in 2005 and was created by Christian Lacroix. The airline has a history of collaborations with other top designers such as Dior and Balanciaga. This retro uniform is one of my favorites.
AIR CANADA ROUGE’S 2017 UNIFORM UNVEILED
Air Canada has just released their newest livery with a whole new look. To complement the new planes, they updated the crew’s uniform.Their old uniform was stylish as well, but the patterns seen in the scarves were a bit dated.
