Ah, imaginary friends, we’ll all had them, and remember them fondly. But what happens when a child’s imaginary friend isn’t quite so imaginary? Kids often do the craziest things, but is inviting a barn animal into their bedroom a little too far? Ask one mom from Texas who was stunned to find who her daughter was playing dress-up with.
WHAT’S THAT NOISE?
When April heard strange sounds coming from the baby monitor in her daughter’s room, the Texas mom got a little curious, and perhaps worried for her daughter, Velvet, as the noises didn’t sound human.
THE SNEAKY MOMMY
April was careful to approach Velvet’s room very carefully to avoid spooking the little girl or whatever creature was moving around in the bedroom.
WHAT’S GOING ON OVER HERE?
Right before April walked into her daughter’s room, the first thing that came out of her mouth was, “I’m not sure if there’s something wrong with this image. You guys tell me.” Then she went in and caught her daughter in the act.
KIDS DO THE DARNDEST THINGS
To her surprise, she found that her daughter was playing princess dress up with the family’s pony, Velvet, which had gotten a major beauty makeover by the pint-size beauty with a crown fit for a princess.
The pony probably realized in its own way that being in the house was a big no-no, and since it had nothing to say in its defense, it decided to try and make a run for it, figuratively speaking, cause there wasn’t enough room in the room.
INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
As soon as the little girl saw her mommy, the first thing she did was squeak and then she walked away and hid, leaving the poor pony to have to explain the situation all by itself, and it’s so adorable how it looked at the camera trying to look innocent.
WHERE ARE YOU?
Since the horse couldn’t make it through the narrow path between the wall and the bed, all she could do was crane her neck towards the door and wonder why her “princess of power” had abandoned her so.
GOT ANYTHING TO EAT?
Of course, the little girl was long gone and Velvet was getting a bit hungry, so without further to do, it started looking for things it could munch on by the nearest piece of furniture, but there was nothing there.
LOOK WHO’S SHY NOW
We’re sure mom got a kick out of the whole thing, but Velvet was evidently pretty upset that she had been left behind while Barret made a run for it. Guess she was too shy to own up to her mistakes.
BARRET’S NOT HERE, GO AWAY
Obviously, Barret wasn’t so shy about playing dress-up with her pony Velvet before April came into the room. But hilarious antics like this are pretty common when you’ve got a kid and a barn.
